The history of The Barn
Heath Village Barn, affectionately known as The Barn, has a history dating back over 150 years. From its farming origins to its role as a village gathering place, it remains part of the story of Heath and Reach.
From farm building to village hall
Farming origins
Originally part of a working farm, The Barn retains a connection to the village’s agricultural past.
A gift in 1937
Mrs Fanny Hickman generously donated the building to the residents of Heath and Reach in 1937.
A community space
The Barn is a registered charity, managed by a dedicated volunteer committee, and continues to serve the community as a cherished gathering place.
