Access to The Barn
The building does not provide step-free access throughout. Please contact us before booking to discuss any accessibility requirements.

The main hall
A flexible space for parties, meetings, classes and community activities, with a stage for presentations and performances.
Tables and chairs
Please return furniture to its designated storage area after your hire.
- 40 chairs
- 8 hard-top tables, approximately 6ft × 2ft 3in
- 6 card tables, approximately 34in × 34in
- 1 permanent wooden table in the hall, approximately 137cm × 76cm
Kitchen facilities
A refitted kitchen supports your event. Bring any specialist cooking or serving equipment you need. Limited kitchen towels, tea towels and refuse bags may be available.
- Induction hob, oven and microwave
- Dishwasher, fridge and freezer
- Kettle and hot-water urn
- Mugs, cups, saucers and cutlery
- Serving dishes and basic kitchen utensils
- Bread knives and bottle openers
- Water and juice jugs
Family facilities
High chairs are not provided. Please bring your own if required.
- Baby changing table in the ladies’ toilet
- Children’s potties
- Children’s step stools in both toilet areas
- Nappy sacks and a disposal bin
Garden and outside space
A large, enclosed grassed garden can be reached directly from the building, without crossing the car park. Use is restricted in poor weather and during winter. Contact us before planning organised activities, particularly if bringing equipment.
Food and refreshments
Catering and refreshments are not included. Use the kitchen, crockery and cutlery to serve your own refreshments or arrange catering. Local catering options may also be available.
What should I bring?
For extensive food preparation, check with us beforehand that the equipment you need is available. Depending on your event, consider bringing:
- Drinking glasses or disposable cups
- Additional plates, bowls and serving jugs
- Baking trays and cooking pans
- Chopping boards and kitchen knives
- Cling film or food wrap and aluminium foil
- Condiments and additional bin bags
Wi-Fi
There is currently no Wi-Fi at The Barn. Please make your own mobile data arrangements if internet access is essential.
