LBCT is all about having fun while learning performance skills. Led by arts and education professionals who give up their time free as volunteers to give local children an affordable, enjoyable introduction to the arts. We spend a lot of time doing fun drama games, teamwork exercises and confidence building.
Theatre helps children with confidence and self-esteem in an enjoyable environment, as well as teaching the basics of musical theatre and drama performance. We produce high-quality performances in aid of local, national and international charities.
Each year we present “Sing Out Against Cancer” where performers are involved in community and theatre events, raising money for Macmillan Cancer Support.
Our youngest members meet weekly at The Barn, Heath and Reach. As they get older, they join our Youth Section, many going onto careers in the performing arts.
LBCT is very popular, and each group has a waiting list.
